Sanja Bestic

Sanja Bestic (Director)


Sanja Bestic (1982) was born and raised in Zemun, Belgrade, Serbia. Sanja pursued theatre directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts at Belgrade University. While attending a fellowship at the Moving Academy of Performing Arts in Amsterdam, she refined her artistic coaching skills and also work intensively with the Theatre of Shadows. In New York she studied at The Michael Chekov Acting Studio and the Lee Strasburg Institute for Theatre and Film. She has directed five Off-Broadway shows to date, including Sidetracked (John Pastore) and Therapy (Jordan Cvetanovic). Sanja has also directed Touch my Knees (David Albahari, The Government Inspector by Nikolai V. Gogol, Canary Soup by Milos Radovic, Two Fools in Love by Dusko Radovic, Painkillers by Neda Radulovic, and The Weeping Game by Ben Akiba (aka Branislav Nusic).

Megan Jeannette Smith

Megan Jeannette Smith (Assistant Director)


Megan received her Bachelors of Arts in Theatre Directing from Columbia College in 2002. Her directing credits include: Horror Story by Jessica Frank, Wandering by Lanford Wilson, Orphans by Lyle Kessler, Bedroom Farce by Alan Ayckbourn and Our Country’s Good by Timberlake Wertenbaker. She is very pleased to be working with Sanja Bestic again after acting as stage manager on Sanja’s recent production of Sidetracked by John Pastore.

Djordjije (George) Lekovic

Djordjije (George) Lekovic (Executive Producer)


Djordjije George Lekovic graduated with high honors (Magna Cum Laude + Phi Beta Kappa), then spent years producing award winning feature films and original content for brands and agencies in NYC.

The last film, “Zenith”, a non-traditional story telling effort, included a feature film, 40+ websites, theatrical release, 100+ online videos, a conspiracy theory magazine, partnership with an illegal downloading website and a staggering 1,25M downloads in one week.

He occasionally lectures at the School of Visual Arts and at The City University of New York and has exhibited his work internationally.
George is currently pursuing new business opportunities, start-ups and big ideas.

Aleksandra Stojic Zurovac

Aleksandra Stojic Zurovac (Costume Designer)


Aleksandra was born in Belgrade, Serbia where she studied Information Technology and Computing. She moved to New York and quickly fell in love with fashion. For years, she dressed some of most famous celebrities in the world as Head Stylist for Prada. This allowed Aleksandra to simultaneously try her hand in theatrical productions as a costume designer by dressing many of her clients for the stage as well. In partnership with Dusica Sacks, she established the unique Italian shoe brand, Dusica-Dusica, producing only one-of-a-kind pairs which have enchanted many New Yorkers. Dusica-Dusica ballerina flats have graced the feet of celebrities such as Halle Berry, Penelope Cruz and Sigourney Weaver to name a few. Presently, Aleksandra works on theater and independent film productions.

Justin Elie

Justin Elie (Set Designer)


Justin Elie is thrilled to be a part of All About Women. Originally from Maine, Justin recently moved to New York to pursue a career in theater after finishing the Technical Design and Production program at the Yale School of Drama. Justin is the assistant technical director at The Juilliard School. Selected credits include Yes We Can, Walled In, and The Piano Lesson.

Graduated from School of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Serbia.

Joe Mohan

Joe Mohan (Musical Director)


Joe is delighted to serve as musical director for “All About Women.” A skilled pianist of all styles, he has played with the Pittsburgh Symphony and Buffalo Philharmonic, under the baton of notables including Marvin Hamlisch. To date, musical direction and production credits include The Day We Know as Christmas, a Christmas musical that he also composed and orchestrated. He is presently the conductor of the School of Visual Arts Orchestra in New York City, and is currently studying at The Juilliard School pursuing a degree in Piano Performance.
